TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match Predictions

The WWE has decided to end the year with a super stacked pay-per-view, TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs. The card is filled with several good matchups including Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose, Ronda Rousey vas Nia Jax, Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles, Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair vs Asuka, The Bar vs The Usos vs The New Day, and Buddy Murphy vs Cedric Alexander. But once again, no Universal Championship and no US Championship match. TLC will feature the first ever Women’s TLC match. Since TLC is the last pay-per-view of the year and proceeding The Royal Rumble pay-per-view, match outcomes may not be so predictable.

Daniel Bryan (c) vs. AJ Styles for the WWE Championship

Winner: Daniel Bryan

Who I Would Book to Win: Daniel Bryan

I’m really enjoying the new heel, Daniel Bryan. He’s socially conscious, but a heel. Perfect. There’s no better way to annoy people than to try to educate them on what’s happening in the world.

The New Daniel Bryan will retain this Sunday, which is great. I have nothing against AJ Styles, but his WWE Championship reign should be over. Styles, who spent more than a year as champion, is said to be taking time off to spend more time with his family. I wouldn’t be surprised if Styles takes some time off, but returns to Raw instead of SmackDown. He could go on to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship, winning to become the next Universal champion.

Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Nia Jax for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship

Winner: Ronda Rousey

Who I Would Book to Win: Nia Jax

Ronda Rousey will more than likely retain. The only way I can imagine Rousey losing this Sunday is if Tamina gets involved and gives Nia Jax a big assist. Big enough to pin the champion. Tamina will probably interfere, but her interference will mean very little. Rousey will lock in the armbar and Nia will tap out. Personally, I think this would be the perfect time for Rousey to lose the championship, especially if the WWE plans to set up a Four Horsewomen feud. If the WWE gives us this storyline, Rousey being champ isn’t necessary.

Becky Lynch (c) vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship

Winner: Becky Lynch

Who I Would Book to Win: Asuka

History will be made at TLC. This match also has great potential to be the match of the night. I think Becky Lynch will walk out with her championship, the champion usually has the advantage in a Triple Threat match. Yet, there is a possibility that Charlotte Flair will win. Apparently, Charlotte is 5-0 in big Triple Threat matches. So, there is a possibility that Charlotte is winning. I think this would be a perfect time for Asuka to win her first main roster title, transitioning Becky and Charlotte in a Four Horsewomen storyline.

Seth Rollins (c) vs. Dean Ambrose for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

Winner: Seth Rollins

Who I Would Book to Win: Dean Ambrose

We all saw the Dean Ambrose heel turn coming, but just not on the night that Joe Anoaʻi (Roman Reigns) publically announced his battle with leukemia. Turning Ambrose that night truly garnered huge heel heat.

The heel Ambrose we thought we were going to get, we didn’t get. Instead, we got an Ambrose that’s obsessed with germs, vaccines, and Bane. Although I’m not sure where the WWE is going with heel Ambrose, I don’t see him winning the IC title at TLC. Rollins will win, but Ambrose will get his rematch in the near future. Yet, I do think losing would slow down Ambrose’s heel momentum. Ambrose needs the win.

Buddy Murphy (c) vs. Cedric Alexander for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Winner: Buddy Murphy

Who I Would Book to Win: Buddy Murphy

Things are looking bright for the Cruiserweight division. For the second time in a row the Cruiserweight Championship will be defended on the pay-per-view main card, Lio Rush faced off against Elias on Raw, and Mustafa Ali, making his SmackDown Live debut, wrestled Daniel Bryan. But focusing on TLC, we’re getting Buddy Murphy vs Cedric Alexander II. Their match, several months ago, at Super Show-Down was a great match. Match #2 should be just as good or better. I’m predicting Murphy to win. Leading to Murphy vs Ali, one of 205 Live’s greatest rivalries.

The Bar (Cesaro and Sheamus) (c) vs. The New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston, and/or Xavier Woods) vs. The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship

Winner: The Bar

Who I Would Book to Win: The Bar

On one hand, I’m tired of seeing the same tag teams fight for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. But on the other hand, I know all three teams can deliver and never fail to entertain. I’m sure the match will wow us, but I’m looking for new teams to enter the spotlight and challenge the winner of this match. Fingers crossed that The Club or SAnitY gets a major push in 2019. I would love to see The Bar vs The Club for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

Braun Strowman vs. Baron Corbin (If Strowman wins, he will receive a Universal Championship match at the Royal Rumble and Corbin will be stripped of all authoritative power. If Corbin wins, he will become the full-time general manager of Raw.)

Winner: Braun Strowman

Who I Would Book to Win: Braun Strowman

There have been rumors floating around the internet that this match will be postponed because Braun Strowman isn’t medically cleared to compete. If this is true, the WWE has a few options. 1. Find a replacement for Strowman. 2. Postpone the match. 3. Give the win to Baron Corbin. But if the match does take place at TLC, Strowman should pick up the win.

Finn Bálor vs. Drew McIntyre

Winner: Drew McIntyre

Who I Would Book to Win: Finn Bálor

Braun Strowman vs Baron Corbin isn’t the only match that has been rumored to be canceled. Internet wrestling insiders and fans alike, have been speculating that Finn Bálor will miss TLC. Bálor didn’t appear on RAW last week and was pulled from the Mixed Match Challenge due to injury/illness.

I’m really excited for this match, so I hope Bálor is 100% and ready to complete. If Bálor is 100% and the match does take place, I’m predicting Drew McIntyre to get the win. But it’s hard to call because both McIntyre and Bálor could use this win to their advantage. But I think Bálor need the win more. Raw’s heel division is stacked and looks great. Yet, its face division needs a major boost. A win for Bálor would be a great boost.

Elias vs. Bobby Lashley in a ladder match. (A guitar will be suspended above the ring and the first to retrieve it can use it as a weapon.)

Winner: Bobby Lashley

Who I Would Book to Win: Elias

Both Bobby Lashley and Elias are evenly matched, now that this match is a ladder match. Elias has the speed factor and should be able to climb the ladder faster than Lashley. But Lashley has the Lio Rush factor. Rush will most likely get involved and may lead to Lashley’s victory.

Natalya vs. Ruby Riott in a table match

Winner: Natalya

Who I Would Book to Win: Natalya

The Natalya vs Ruby Riott feud has been quite entertaining and has a lot of Attitude/Ruthless Aggression Era vibes. It’s one of the more edgy feuds we have seen in a while, especially after Monday night’s promo where Riott threatened to put Natalya through a table. But not just any table, but a table with a sticker of Natalya’s late father, Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, on it. Welp, let’s go Nattie!

Rey Mysterio vs. Randy Orton

Winner: Randy Orton

Who I Would Book to Win: Rey Mysterio

This match was randomly added to the card on Tuesday during Smackdown. While there was some build up, there wasn’t enough to get me excited about this match. Plus, the unmasking a lucha storyline is already being done on 205 Live. I’m predicting Randy Orton to win. But I would love to see Rey Mysterio get the win.

Fabulous Truth (R-Truth and Carmella) vs. Mahalicia (Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox)

Winner: Fabulous Truth

Who I Would Book to Win: Fabulous Truth

F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S! Fabulous Truth is taking the W, a vacation, and the #30 spots in the Men and Women’s Royal Rumble.
